This year’s collection combines thrift store aquamarine with a hard edge of hiking boots. He glides effortlessly down the sidewalk while he searches for an oboe melody in his mind.

The Sergent is a downtown staple. Though he usually hangs out in the exchange around the Albert, I was surprised to $pot him at the corner of Hargrave and St Mary’s Ave.

I tried to come up with a clever name for this fella; but I was haunted by his vacant stare and low crazy mumble. He was just standing, staring and twiddling his thumbs.
He stood there for ~ 5 min doing the same thing.
Then I realized he was a star*!
The downtown life can get depressing. Fortunately there are people like the Jesus Caroler to help us carry on.

It’s not too hard to spot this bringer of the good word. He’s at the corner of St Mary Ave and Hargrave from ~3:30 – 5:30 every weekday. Rumor has it he’s got a fellow choir boy, but we have failed to get a picture.

I walked right past him, as he was noticeably lacking his Canada threads. Fortunately he was mumbling out loud (a Canada man signature) and I ran up for a picture.

For the last 3 years I have seen Cowboy man riding the #11 bus around in St. James; I did not know he ventured so far downtown*!
He’s usually standing 1 stop east of Assiniboine park; often with a baby stroller (w/a Teddy Bear in it) or carrying a box of pots. I’ve also seen him reppin’ tasseled pants and pulling a wagon.
Maybe he and Canada Man are secretly protecting the city!?!
I don’t know, but I feel safer knowing they’re out there.
Just spotted Canada Man at Graham & Edmonton. He was wearing a stylish ‘Canso’ hoodie with vintage Nike track pants and sporting a water bottle and backpack water supply. There will not be thirst on his marathon of walking around talking to himself.
With the walkman blaring and his foul mumbling in full effekt -> he was tooo fast for my phone camera
For those of you celeb spotters; Canada Man can usually be seen on the 11 listening to his walkman or training in the shopping district of St. James. He is easily identified by his Canadian pride and his mumble-swearing under his breath.
