Aluminum Sound is my downtown spot for CD-R’s. They kick the $hit out of Staples on price and selection + they sell used movies and CD’s.

I’ve never bought a CD there, as I already have 2 copies of most Brian Adams records and they seldom have much else that catches my eye. I was, however, lucky enough to score a Peter Criss pin and the original batman movie for $8 last time I stopped by.

There is an internet cafe in the back, so be warned: You may encounter the occasional fat slob stoner ‘net junkie. If you’re in the area and don’t feel like walking the extra block to Dominion News; they sell pipes, papers and the rest of that w33d smokin’ shi~ as well.

There is about 5 anti-abortion protesters in front of the Graham Woman’s Clinic right now. If you want to look like a f#cking a$$hole you should go grab a sign and join them.

It is unclear whether the protestors had pre-meditated their assault. The uDKS investigative team has reason to believe all 5 people involved are connected to a nearby denture clinic. Should you be walking in the area between now and naptime; please take care.

It appears as though some lights on the corner of Portage and Main have burned out! Winnipeggers are forced to look at these re-used lights every year, the least they can do is change the bulbs or make sure they work.  I guess it’s hard to do a good job when all you can think about is walking over to Bailey’s for over priced pints and free popcorn.
